CIMAP-JNU Ph. D. Programme

Towards the mission of bringing scientific excellence through University-Research Institution joint efforts, CIMAP, Lucknow has been recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi as one of its Centres for research and academic activities in the field of Life Sciences (Plant Science/Biotechnology & Bioinformatics/Chemical Sciences).

Eligible candidates selected after entrance examination and Interview will have to complete Pre-PhD courses in any of the above mentioned three sub-disciplines of their interest in two semesters spread over one year. On successful completion of course work (OGPA 6.5/10 for general category and 6.0/10 for SC/ST category), students will be eligible for registration as CIMAP-JNU PhD scholar under the supervision of a CIMAP scientist available as a guide to carry out research on a scientific topic covered under CIMAP’s mandate leading to the award of PhD degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
